The juwi group works in close co-operation with many utilities and grid operators. Juwi connected its first wind power plant in Germany to the Pfalzwerke AG grid in 1996. The company is the biggest energy provider in the area, providing 280,000 customers with electricity and 52,000 with natural gas services.

Brisk business relations have benefited the two companies ever since. The teamwork required to complete and interconnect projects is characterized by professionalism, mutual respect and the drive to meet high standards. Based on this positive experience, the two companies decided to pool their combined expertise and profit from the development of joint projects by founding in 2003 a new company, pfalzwind GmbH, as equal shareholders.
