55 Turbines in one of the world's windiest spots

Early in 2008, juwi group together with their European and American partners started the construction of Central America's largest wind farm in one of the windiest spots in the world.

La Gloria wind farm in the Guanacaste region consists of 55 turbines and has an overall capacity of 49.5 MW.

Turbines have been manufactured and delivered by German company ENERCON who shipped 55 turbines type E-44 across the Atlantic.

All turbines are up, and full commercial operation is expected for November 2009.
