Proyecto Eólico Guanacaste - "La Gloria" wind farm in the Guanacaste region, Costa Rica

Early in 2008, juwi group together with their project partners started the construction of Central America's largest wind farm in one of the windiest spots in the world.

La Gloria wind farm in the Guanacaste region consists of 55 turbines and has an overall capacity of 49.5 MW.

Turbines have been manufactured and delivered by German company ENERCON who shipped 55 turbines type E-44 across the Atlantic.

The wind farm was fully commissioned at the end of 2009. juwi was the project developer and primarily responsible for the project management.
